Report: Pakistani delegation visits Russia to arrange oil bargain
NEW DELHI, Nov 28 (PRIME) -- An official delegation of Pakistan started a three-day visit to Moscow on Monday in order to arrange oil sales at a discount, newspaper The News reported citing an official of the Energy Ministry.
"Both sides would also deliberate on futuristic cooperative areas including two gas pipelines that include the much-touted Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline (PSGP), to be laid from Karachi to Lahore and a trans-nations gasoline from Russia via Kazakhstan to Pakistan," the official said.
The delegation will be represented by State Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik and Deputy Petroleum Minister Muhammad Mahmood.
Earlier in November, Pakistan overcame the U.S. opposition to buying Russian oil, Islamabad intends to strike a deal with Moscow on conditions similar to a deal with India, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said.
